April Hyatt, Acro Yoga, Yoga, Martial Arts, Cardio & Latin Dance Instructor

A martial artist from the age of 12 to 23, April studied and taught Jiu Jitsu, Chinese Kenpo, Indonesian Silat, Boxing, Kickboxing, Sport Karate and was the undefeated Colorado state Jiu Jitsu (grappling) youth champion for three consecutive years. After shifting her focus away from combative movement arts, she spent the next several years dabbling in other movement arts like rock climbing, latin ballroom dance, primal movement patterns, aerial silks and yoga. More recently she discovered Acroyoga (2013), and her obsession had to be shared. She is a founder of the budding Acroyoga community in Nicaragua.

April completed her 200 hour Yoga teacher training with the Holistic Yoga School based out of Colorado and her 500 hour advanced teacher training in Restorative Yoga with the Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga in Dharamkhot India. She completed her 200 hour Acroyoga teacher training with AcroYogaMontreal in 2016. She has studied Kinesiology and is a personal trainer with a focus on calesthenics and functional movement training.

At Pure, April is a co-owner and vital member of the leadership team. She is a personal trainer and teaches various exercise and specialty classes such as, Yoga, Acroyoga, Fitness, Latin dance, and self defense. In April’s classes, you can expect a focus on fun and creativity, set on a foundation of emphasis on good alignment, safety, and communication…. and, of course enthusiasm!  If it is fun and it is safe, you are doing it right!  Contact us to set up a private or group lesson.
